Abstract
Menetelmä matkaviestimen käyttämiseksi WCDMA-järjestelmässä. Matkaviestimessä on monitievastaanotin (90), jossa on useita demodulointihaaroja (71,72,73). Yksi demodulointihaaroista tarkkailee naapurisolua ja muut demodulointihaarat tarkkailevat varattua solua. Kun matkaviestin on lepotilassa, jos se on paikallaan, demodulaattorin aktiivisuutta vähennetään kytkemällä pois päältä se demodulointihaara, joka tarkkailee naapurisolua.
