Abstract

The device comprises a hollow needle provided with an air passage 3 and a liquid passage 2, both connected to a sparkling wine reservoir 1. This device comprises means 13, 4, 5, 11 and 12 for sequentially opening the air passage and then the liquid passage at the tip of the hollow needle when the device is pressed upon the neck 23 of a bottle, and a valve 15, 16, 18 and 22 for decompressing the air chamber 24 of the bottle when the air passage is opened while the liquid passage 2 is closed. Use for equalising the pressure in the bottle and in the reservoir even if liquid remained in the air passage during the preceding level-restoring.
