Abstract

The system involves use of a stencil consisting of a sheet with cut-outs corresponding to the required design which is fixed over the surface to be engraved, using a pad incorporated in a sheet support and impregnated with an acid capable of attacking the glass. - The acid acts through the cut-outs in the stencil and marks the glass with the design, leaving it engraved on removing the stencil and pad after a given time.
