Abstract

A nutritional supplement consists of an agglomerate of substances in which each agglomerate unit (10, 12) has at least one active substance (14, 18) which is coated with a coating (16, 20) which dissolves in the gastrointestinal tract at a predetermined time after intake after the occurrence of pH changes. This achieves a release of high concentrations of individual active substances at preselected, different target areas along the tract.
