CONSISTE EN EMBEBER EN LA BASE DE PLOMO O DE ALEACION DE PLOMO PARTICULAS CATALITICAS QUE CONSTAN DE POR LO MENOS UN CATALIZADOR PARA LA PRODUCCION DE PLOMO, DE MODO QUE ESTAN DISTRIBUIDAS UNIFORMEMENTE EN LA SUPERFICIE DE LA BASE Y FIRMEMENTE ANCLADAS Y CONECTADAS ELECTRICAMENTE CON LA BASE; MIENTRAS QUE UNA PARTE DE LAS PARTICULAS NO EMBEBIDAS PERMANECE PROTEGIENDO LA SUPERFICIE DE LA BASE POR CONTACTO CON EL ELECTROLITO.
