EL CATODO TIENE UNA CAPA SUPERFICIAL DE MICROCRISTALES DE PLATA FORMADOS POR LA REDUCCION ELECTROLITICA DE PARTICULAS DE OXIDO DE PLATA HIDRATADAS COLOIDALES EN PRESENCIA DE UNA BASE ACUOSA. EL CATODO TIENE UN POTENCIAL CON RELACION A UN ELECTRODO DE REFERENCIA DE CALOMELANOS SATURADO DE -0,8 A -1,8 VOLTIOS. LA SOLUCION TIENE UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 5 Y 60 GC.
