CONSISTE EN EFECTUAR LA OXIDACION DE LA METACROLEINA CON OXIGENO MOLECULAR EN FASE DE VAPOR UTILIZANDO UN CATALIZADOR CON ESTRUCTURA DE HETEROPOLIACIDO DE FORMULA GENERAL: MOAVBPCCUDASEXFOG, EN QUE X REPRESENTA UNO O VARIOS ELEMENTOS SELECCIONADOS DEL GRUPO; ESTAÑO, PLOMO, CESIO, COBALTO, HIERRO, CIRCONIO, TORIO, TURGATENO, GERMANIO, NIQUEL, RENIO, BISMUTO, ANTIMONIO, CROMO, BORO, MAGNESIO, PLATA, ALUMINIO, ZINC Y TITANIO. LA TEMPERATURA DE REACCION ESTA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 200 Y 380GC Y LA REACCION TIENE LUGAR EN PRESENCIA DE VAPOR DE AGUA.
