Abstract

Procedimiento para la producción de máscaras faciales desechables, del tipo que se conforman a las características anatómicas del paciente y que comprenden una almohadilla moldeada por inyección de material plástica resiliente que tiene una densidad específica entre O,5 y 0,8 fijándose dicha almohadilla a un cono termoplástico semi-rígido; caracterizado porque comprende las etapas de: (a) combinar y mezclar uniformemente entre sí, en una proporción predeterminada, un compuesto de moldeo plástico y un agente expansionarte; (b) calentar la mezcla combinada de la etapa (a) para plastificar el compuesto y causas la liberación de gas del agente expansionarte; (c) moldear por inyección el compuesto mezclado calentado en un molde que tiene una cavidad en la configuración de la almohadilla de máscara deseada; (d) controlar la ventilación del molde durante la etapa de inyección; (e) enfriar el compuesto moldeado para causar su solidificación; (f) separar la almohadilla así formada del molde; y (g) fijar la almohadilla a un cono semi-rígido para producirla máscara facial completa.
