Abstract

An improved electrical connector device, for use in mounting an electronic multi-pin device on a substrate comprising a body of electrically insulating material, the body defining a plurality of cavities, each of which contains an individual electrical contact that has a tang portion protruding from the body for housing in a hole in the substrate, and a pair of elastic arms formed integrally with the shank portion and contained in the cavity, the arms inherently being urged towards each other to receive a pin of an electronic device between them, and a cover of electrically insulating material secured to the body and which closes the cavities thereof to retain the contacts in the cavities.
