Abstract
A refrigerant charging apparatus for a refrigeration installation having a registration port of the aspiration line and a registration port of the liquid line, said apparatus comprising an electrically controlled intake valve, having an intake port adapted for to be detachably connected to a source of coolant and an evacuation port adapted to be detachably connected to said register port of the suction line, a first pressure transducer adapted to be connected to said port of registration of the line of aspiration to provide an electrical signal as a function of the pressure perceived in the suction pipe, a first temperature transducer adapted to be detachably connected to the suction pipe to provide an electrical signal as a function of the temperature perceived in the pipe of aspiration, an electr circuit ico regulator that responds to the signals of said first transducers of temperature and pressure to effect the opening of said intake valve when there is a predetermined relationship between the temperature and pressure perceived in the suction pipe, a second pressure transducer adapted to be detachably connected to said registration port of the liquid line to provide an electrical signal as a function of the perceived pressure in the liquid line, a second temperature transducer for providing an electric signal as a function of the perceived ambient temperature, and an electrical interlock circuit that responds to the signals of said second pressure and temperature transducers, to prevent said regulator circuit from opening said intake valve upon conditions in predetermined relation between the ambient temperature and the pressure of the liquid pipe, perceived by said seconds temperature and pressure transducers.
