Claims

1. - Space-releasing structure for the feet of the bed, characterized by comprising a frame which, in turn, comprises:

- a lower section (10) that is installed, either fixed or removable, at the foot of the bed (2), below the mattress (3), between it and the bed base or box spring (4);

- an upper section (11) which has at least one position of use in which it is situated above the mattress (3), under the cover (5), sheet, or bedding with which the user is covered; and

- two or more vertical sections (12) connecting the lower section (10) and upper section (11) and which place the upper section (11) above the mattress (3) raising the cover (5) in the area of the foot of the bed (2) to a height such that a space (6) is created to free the user's feet.

2. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 1, characterized in that the frame is mobile in nature, such that the upper section (11) can be located at least between an elevated position of use, where the space (6) for the release of the feet is defined, and a lower resting position, where the space (6) for the release does not exist and the made bed has a conventional appearance.

3. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the frame is a rod frame with a rectangular frame-shaped configuration formed by a lower horizontal section (10) that covers the width of the mattress (3), an upper section (11) that is also horizontal and that also covers the width of the mattress (2) and two lateral vertical sections (12) that are located on both sides of the mattress (3) and are fixed or mobile.

4. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 2 and 3, characterized in that, when the frame is mobile, the vertical sections (12) are each defined by a vertical section (12) that is integrally connected to the lower section (10) and a guide tube (18) that is integrally connected to the upper horizontal section (11), such that the guide tube (18) is inserted superiorly in the vertical section (12) defining as a whole an extendable body, at least, between an extended position and a folded position.

5. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 4, characterized in that the vertical sections (12) and the guide tubes (18) of the frame are linked together through a pressure locking element (13) such that it allows passing from an extended position to a folded position simply by applying a certain upward traction force to extend them and a slight downward pressure to fold them.

6. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the lower section (10) comprises one or two bases (14) defined by a portion which, like a tongue, extends coplanarly from said lower section (10) and perpendicular to the vertical sections (12) to facilitate the fixing of the frame under the mattress (3).

7. - Space-releasing structure for the feet of the bed, according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that for its fixing and to prevent the frame-shaped structure from losing its verticality, on both sides of the same there are provided lateral fixing profiles (17), fixed to the respective vertical sections (12) and at the respective distal ends of which there are respective plates (17a), which are located below the mattress, between it and the box spring (4).

8. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 7, characterized in that the lateral fixing profiles (17) are fixed to the bed base or box spring (4) by means of screws (17b).

9. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the upper section (11) comprises a safety panel (15) that touches the mattress (3) and prevents it from injuring or damaging the user in the event of an unwanted fall of the frame.

10. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to claim 9, characterized in that the lower section (10) of the frame comprises a tab (19) of about 2 to 4 cm in height that emerges from it between the two vertical sections (12) to prevent the mattress (3) from rubbing against the frame.

11.- Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises means for fastening (16) the cover (5) or bedclothes to the frame, such as an elastic band or similar.

12.- Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least the upper section (11) comprises a washable and removable cover.

13. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of the previous claims, characterized in that it is an accessory element whose lower section (10) is installed, in a fixed or removable manner, in the bed (2), below the mattress (3) between it and the bed base or box spring (4), in a removable manner.

14. - Space-releasing structure for the feet in the bed, according to any of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it is an element that forms part of the bed (2) itself and whose lower section (10) is fixed or removable to the base or box spring (4) of the bed (2) already manufactured.
