Abstract

A pipe connecting device for steel pipes having a conical steel supporting ring (7) which can be pressed into the pipe end in a sealing manner, flares said pipe end out, rests with a cylindrical attachment on the hole wall of the pipe end and is pressed by means of its end projecting out of the pipe end in the axial direction, in a sealing manner, against a connecting piece (1) which is connected by means of a cap nut (3) to the flared-out pipe end, which cap nut (3) surrounds the flared-out pipe end and the connecting piece and, with the interposition of a clamping ring with an inner cone, draws the two towards one another in the axial direction, the cap nut (3) and the connecting piece (1) being constructed as DIN standard parts and, on its outer surface (15) which faces the cap nut (3) and is opposite an inner cone (14) of the cap nut (3), the clamping ring (12) being constructed in such a manner that, when the pipe connecting device is tightened, force-fitting contact is produced between the circumferential surface of the inner cone (14) and the outer surface (15) of the clamping ring (12), inside the front third of the clamping ring (12), seen in the tightening direction.
