Method for obtaining a carbon black of preselected modulus in a process for preparing carbon black by thermal decomposition of a hydrocarbon supplying material in a reaction chamber, the method being characterized because it comprises: establishment of a carbon black modulus curve in relation to with the decomposition temperature for said supplying material; selecting said curve from the predetermined decomposition temperature necessary to produce from said supplier material a carbon black of preselected modulus; establishing and preserving said selected predetermined decomposition temperature within said reaction chamber; continuously introducing said supply material into said reaction chamber and thermally decomposing it therein at said selected predetermined temperature to give carbon black of said preselected module and recovery of said carbon black.
