Abstract

Procedimiento de separación selectiva y simultáneamente de aumento de pureza de dos materiales orgánicos de síntesis, usados, fragmentados, de densidades distintas, mezclados entre sí y mezclados con diversos materiales contaminantes a eliminar, de densidad inferior o superior a 1, por medio de medios acuosos densos, de los cuales cada medio acuoso tiene una densidad seleccionada "ds." como umbral de separación de dichos materiales orgánicos y contaminantes, conduciendo dicha separación a dos flujos, uno sobrenadante y el otro decantante, estando dicho procedimiento caracterizado porque comprende: a) una etapa de separación con densidad alta ds(a) de la mezcla en dos flujos, uno sobrenadante (a1) y el otro decantante (a2) por medio de un medio acuoso cuya densidad ds(a) se selecciona intermedia entre las densidades de uno y otro materiales orgánicos de síntesis a separar, preferentemente cercana a la densidad del material orgánico a separar que tiene la densidad más reducida para garantizarle una completa flotación, b) una etapa de separación con densidad reducida ds(b) de los compuestos de flujo sobrenadante (a1) por medio de un medio acuoso cuya densidad ds(b) se selecciona inferior a ds(a) para eliminar un flujo sobrenadante (b1) formado por contaminantes y recoger un flujo decantante (b2) formado por fragmentos del primer material orgánico de síntesis usado a reciclar, c) una etapa de separación con densidad elevada ds(c) que es superior a ds(a) de los compuestos del flujo decantante (a2) por medio de un medio acuoso cuya densidad ds(c) se selecciona al menos igual a la densidad del material orgánico de síntesis presente en dicho flujo (a2), estando un flujo sobrenadante (c1) formado por la mezcla de los fragmentos del material orgánico de síntesis de densidad ds(c) y por materiales contaminantes de densidades comprendidas entre ds(a) y ds(c), y estando un flujo decantante (a2) formado por materiales contaminantes de densidad inferior a ds(c) que es eliminado, y d) una etapa de separación con densidad reducida ds(d) del flujo sobrenadante (c1) por medio de un medio acuoso cuya densidad ds(d) se selecciona inferior a ds(c), cuyo flujo sobrenadante (d1), está formado por materiales contaminantes de densidades comprendidas entre ds(a) y ds(c), y es eliminado, y cuyo flujo decantante (d2) formado por fragmentos del material orgánico de síntesis usado, homogéneo, de densidad ds(d) es recogido para ser reutilizado.

El polipropileno decanta y es recuperado. C1 sobrenada y es eliminado;
-Para la etapa de separación (c), la densidad del medio acuoso de separación se selecciona en el intervalo de 0,940 a 0, 950: 5 El polietileno sobrenada con C2. C3 decanta;
-Para la etapa de separación (d), la densidad del medio acuoso de separación se selecciona en el intervalo de 0,910 a 0,920: 10 El polietileno decanta y es recuperado. C2 sobrenada y es eliminado.
Los polipropilenos y polietilenos recuperados son homogéneos y tienen un muy buen nivel de pureza que permite su reciclaje en todos los sectores industriales y en particular en el del automóvil.
15 Los contaminantes C1, C2, C3 pueden ser posteriormente tratados con la intención de recuperar polímeros tales como poliestireno, ABS, PS y otros.
