Abstract

Mechanisms to uncork plugs of cylindrical geometry with built-in extractor accessory, or caps with lateral grooves and independent extractor accessory. The mechanisms for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs (16) with a built-in extractor accessory (17), or plugs with lateral grooves (2) and an independent extractor accessory (13) are based on modifying corkscrews (4) or (19) in which the metal propeller that is nailed to the conventional plugs is replaced by extractor systems (13) or hooks (18) suitable for extracting the plugs with lateral grooves (2) or with plugs (16) with an extractor system incorporated, for example a tape , strap or loop (17) incorporated. Alternatively, a cylindrical part (26) can be used that is screwed into the propeller of a conventional corkscrew and has said extraction systems (13), (18) at its end.

Mechanisms for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs with built-in extractor accessory, or caps with side grooves and independent extractor accessory

Previous patent applications, for titles: “Cylindrical geometry cap with side slots and independent extractor accessory”, and “Cylindrical geometry cap with built-in extractor accessory” are designed to be extracted by hand with an extractor accessory plugs such as those used in bottles of calm wine, and that also admit the use of conventional corkscrews. An extraction solution is added in the present invention with mechanical help and which is specific for said plugs.

The mechanisms for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs with built-in extractor accessory (16), (17), or caps with side grooves (2) and independent extractor accessory (13), use in part conventional corkscrews but in which the propeller is replaced metal that is stuck in the plug, by a piece suitable for removing said plugs, or a piece that is screwed in said metal helix and that at its free end has a piece suitable for removing said plugs.

This piece suitable for extracting said plugs is a hook (18) for both types of plug or an inverted "U" piece (13) whose legs (14) end up in feet (15) that are coupled in the lateral grooves of the plugs with side slots (2).

STATE OF THE PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE

Defined in the aforementioned patent applications: "Cylindrical geometry cap with side slots and independent extractor accessory", and "Cylindrical geometry cap with incorporated extractor accessory" extractor systems for manual removal of the caps. The present invention links to the extractor systems that use the force of the fingers or of the hand for the extraction of the caps of said inventions, mechanisms that take advantage of part of the mechanisms of the conventional corkscrews but that replace or adapt the metallic helix by another system that works with the extractor systems defined in those requests.

Nothing similar is known in the area of bottle caps and corkscrews. EXPLANATION OF THE INVENTION

A) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The invention consists in the substitution in the current corkscrew of the metallic helix, which is nailed in the cap as a drill and used to be able to apply a force of extraction of the cap that closes the bottle, by a suitable accessory to remove the caps with built-in extractor accessory or caps with side slots and with independent extractor accessory.

An attachment can also be used for the propeller corkscrews that are screwed into said propeller and at its end have said suitable accessories for removing the plugs.

This invention of modified corkscrew mechanisms serves to remove the caps with less effort than if they are removed by stretching with the fingers or the hand and provides greater security against the possible spillage of liquid.

B) DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The mechanisms for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs (16) with built-in extractor accessory (17), or caps with side grooves (2) and independent extractor accessory (13) are based on modifying corkscrews (4) or (19) in which the metallic helix that is nailed in the conventional plugs is replaced by extractor systems (13) in the form of an inverted "U" with feet (15) at the ends of the legs (14), or by hooks (18) reminiscent of a "U" or a "V" with a free end facing up, and which are suitable for removing the caps with lateral grooves (2) or with plugs (16) with extractor system incorporated for example a tape, strip or loop (17) incorporated. Alternatively, a cylindrical part (26) can be used which is screwed into the helix of a conventional corkscrew and having said extractor systems (13), (18) at its end.

The lever-type folding corkscrew mechanism (3) has a handle (4) that has a shaft (5) by which the bar (12) pivots, which replaces the usual metal helix in this type of corkscrew, and at the end of said bar (12) has an extractor mechanism (13) that has legs (14) finished in feet (15). The lever arms (7) and (10) pivot on the axes (6) and (8) respectively and can be supported on the mouth of the bottle by means of angles (9) and (11). At said point of support the lever is made and with a small effort and more travel of the handle (4) the plug (2) is easily removed. There are models with a single lever arm or with two lever arms, for which the mechanism of the invention also serves, depending on the total length of the plug. The bar (12) and the extractor system (13) that pivot on the shaft (5) do so in the plane defined by the handle (4) and the lever arms (7) and (10). The extractor system (13) can be fixedly attached to the bar (12) or pivot at the point of attachment with the bar (12) allowing said extractor system (13) to rotate according to the axis of the direction of removal of the plug.

Analogously to all that has been said about the folding lever-type corkscrew (3), the mechanism for uncorking caps can end up in a hook (18) that is attached or forms part of the bar (12) that replaces the metal helix of a usual corkscrew.

This hook (18) can be threaded both in the hole that defines the tape, strip or loop (17) with the cap (16) to which it is attached, and the hole that can be left by the extractor system (13) with the cap with side slots (2). In both cases, with one or two movements, the tape-plug assembly (16) and (17) are pulled up and uncorked. The lever effect reduces the effort that must be made to remove the plug. Also this corkscrew has a shaft (5) located in the handle (4) that allows the bar (12) finished in hook (18) to rotate in the plane defined by the handle (4) and the lever arms (7) and (10).

For the usual corkscrew type of wings (19) constituted by some arms (21) where the force is exerted downwards and that end up in gears (24) that pivot on an axis and that engage the vertical axis (23) to which they make raise and drag the plug up. In some models such as those of figures 3 and 4 the vertical axis (23) has at its end a handle (20) that can be turned by hand in order to nail the metal helix to the cork, in other cases the axis

vertical where the arms engage (21) is fixed and to screw the propeller into the cap the entire corkscrew is rotated. The bottom of this type of wing corkscrew is acam panada (22) where it rests on the mouth of the bottle. In both types of corkscrews, the present invention can be applied by changing the metal helix to a bar (12) with the extractor accessory (13) or (18) suitable for the special types of caps. Thus, in the upward movement of the vertical axis (23) it drags the bar (12) that joins it jointly, or it can let it rotate freely at point (25) and at its end it has an extractor system (13) formed by legs (14) and feet (15) that serve to fit the plug with lateral grooves (2) and thus be able to remove the plug.

Analogously to everything said for the corkscrew type wings, the bar (12) can end in a hook (18) that can be integral or be part of said bar (12), or be able to freely rotate said bar (12) according to the axis of removal of the plug in the area (25) where it joins the vertical axis (23). The extractor systems of the aforementioned special plugs can be strung to extract the cap by means of the hook (18).

The cylindrical part (26) is an attachment that can be screwed into a metal helix of a usual corkscrew through the hole (27) that can be internally threaded with the same thread pitch as the metal helix and at its other end (28 ) joins in solidarity or pivoting on it, represented at the point of attachment (28), a bar (12) terminated in the extractor accessory (13), or terminated in a hook (18) so that without modification of the usual corkscrew with lever arm or wings and only by adding said attachment, can said plugs be removed.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

Figure 1 shows the neck of the bottle (1), the cap with side grooves (2) and the lever-type folding corkscrew mechanism (3). Figure 3 shows a wing corkscrew (19) consisting of arms (21) finished in a gear (24) that pivot on an axis and engage the vertical axis (23) that can rotate when moving the handle (20). The flared bottom (22) rests on the mouth of the bottle. In the movement of the vertical axis (23) it drags up the bar (12) that joins it jointly in (25) and that at its other end has an extractor system (13) formed by legs (14) and feet ( 15) used to fit the plug with side slots (2) and thus be able to remove the plug.

DETAILED EXHIBITION OF AN EMBODIMENT

Without having a limiting character, a concrete mode of realization of a mechanism for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs with built-in extractor accessory, or plugs with lateral grooves and independent extractor accessory, is presented below. For example the mode drawn in Figure 2.

In said figure 2 an exploding drawing of the upper part of a bottle (1), the cylindrical geometry cap (16) with built-in extractor accessory (17) and a usual mechanism for uncorking bottles that has replaced its helix can be seen metal that is stuck in the cap by a piece that ends in a hook (18).

The cap (16) is of cylindrical symmetry but asymmetric according to a transverse middle plane, in which its lower part is of a diameter slightly larger than the neck of the bottle in order to effect the sealing of the bottle and the part by elastic deformation The top of the cap is similar in diameter to the neck of the bottle. The plug (16) has a tape, strip or loop (17) attached to it that defines a hole and is resistant to traction.

The mechanism for uncorking cylindrical geometry plugs with built-in extractor accessory, has a hook at its bottom (18) which is where it is attached to the tape, strip or loop (17) to pull it and so on! remove the cap.
