Abstract

Type container with pallet-shaped base and two support surfaces

The present invention relates to the field of storage and conditioning, with a view to its transport

or to its grouped handling, of articles, of manufactured products or of parts, particularly of component elements or of sets of tools useful for the manufacture of machines or vehicles, in particular in chains.

The object of the invention is a base container in the form of a pallet and with at least two superimposed support surfaces.

There are currently different types of containers of the type mentioned.

Containers of this type generally comprise a pallet-shaped base, of square or rectangular contour, retractable uprights mounted at the level of the equine of said base, a first support surface formed on the base and at least a second support surface which extends parallel to the first support surface at a distance from the latter in the direction of the free ends of said uprights, in its erect or raised state with respect to the base, and which is formed on a flat carrier structure.

These uprights may eventually be rigidly joined to each other two to two to form opposite pairs of associated uprights. These uprights can be pivoted, individually or in pairs, between an upright position, in which the uprights are substantially perpendicular to the base plane, and a folded or folded down position, in which the uprights are inclined in the direction of the base, eventually resting on the latter by its free ends.

The second support surface can be formed by two half platforms, which can be lifted to access the articles or products resting on the first support surface, after at least one of said half platforms has been emptied.

The platform that constitutes the second support surface, of one or two parts, is often fixed separably in the uprights, in order to be able to be lifted, and thus allow a folding or folding of the empty container assembly and its storage With a minimum volume.

However, these medium platforms, being relatively heavy, their lifting is annoying and tiring.

In addition, when detaching the platform from the base and its uprights, there is a risk of losing it, of reassembling it in an erroneous way or with insufficient rigor or of causing the volume to exceed the volume given by the base.

Finally, the lifting of the platforms needs an important free surface around the container, a surface that is not often available, particularly in the vicinity of the production tools.

From FR-A-2 774 661, a collapsible container according to the preamble of the claim is already known

one.

The problem posed by the invention is that of providing a container according to the preamble of claim 1 comprising a second support surface formed of two liftable platforms.

The characterizing part of claim 1 proposes a simple solution to this problem.

The invention will be better understood by the following description, which refers to two preferred embodiments, given by way of non-limiting examples, and explained with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings, in which:

The figures in the attached drawings show, in part or in its entirety, a container 1 of the type comprising a base 2 in the form of a pallet, of square or rectangular contour, 3, 3 '(four) folding or folding uprights, mounted to the level of the corners of said base, a first support surface 4 formed (directly) formed on the base 2 and at least a second support surface 5 extending parallel to the first support surface and at a distance from the latter in the direction of the free ends of said uprights 3, 3 ', in their erect state with respect to the base, being formed on a flat carrier structure 6. The bracing element 9 can consist, according to the embodiment involved, in a single rod or rod, welded or screwed at its ends to the two uprights to be joined, in several parallel and separate bars or in a more complex structure in X, in H or otherwise.

According to an advantageous embodiment variant of the invention, which can be seen more particularly in Figures 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 14, 15, 17, 18 and 19 of the attached drawings, each upright 3, 3 ' , preferably tubular of square section, is pivotally mounted, at its lower end, in a body 10 of U-shaped section, rigidly integral with a corner of the base 2 and extending perpendicularly from the latter, the open face 11 of said U-section body 10 directed towards the post 3 or 3 'in front of the other pair of uprights 3, 3' so that said U-section body 10 ensures an upright maintenance of the post 3 or 3 'associated on three lateral sides and allows an inclination on the fourth side, in the direction of the post 3 or 3' in front of the other pair of uprights.

Similar articulation devices of collapsible container and base structure uprights have already been described and represented in documents FR-A-2 732 662 and EP-A-1 201 549.

Preferably, as also shown in the aforementioned figures, the pivotal articulation of the uprights in the U-shaped bodies 10 will be located at a distance from the base 2 and the carrier structure 6 is located substantially midway between the base 2 and the free end of the 3, 3 'uprights.

Advantageously, each locking device 7 consists of a bolt whose latch 12 is formed by an end or an extension of the maneuvering element 8 in the form of a bar, rod or the like and whose notch or housing is formed by the section body 10 at U associated to the corresponding upright 3 or 3 'and whose lower wing 10' comprises, at the level of its upper end distant from the base 2, a cut 13 forming a recess or emptying, suitable for receiving with lock the above-mentioned latch 12 in an upright position of the corresponding 3, 3 'stile.

With a view to facilitating automatic engagement of the locking devices 7, it can be provided that each wing 10 ', provided with the recess 13 intended to receive the latch 12, further comprises an edge part 14 profiled on a slope, rounded or not, for the sliding in support of the latch 12 at the end of the erection movement of the stile 3, 3 'considered, the said profiled edge part 14 leading into the cut or recess 13 of the wing considered 10'.

According to a first embodiment of the invention, represented in Figures 1 to 11 of the attached drawings, the latches 12 may be constituted by folded parts or fingers joined at the level of the opposite ends of the maneuvering organ 8, these extensions being guided or fingers 12 along the corresponding uprights 3, 3 'by guides 15, for example in the form of sleeves.

According to a second embodiment, represented in figures 12 to 21 of the accompanying drawings, the latches 12 may be constituted by the two parts of opposite ends of the maneuvering element 8 in the form of a bar, rod or the like, preferably of round section , each of these end portions 12 being integral with one of the uprights 3, 3 'of a pair of uprights 3, 3', with limited travel power in one direction and in a distance such that said parts 12 can move , in the erect position of the corresponding pair of uprights 3 and 3 'between, on the one hand, a first position in which they rest at the bottom of the recesses 13 forming recesses or block depressions of the corresponding U-section bodies 10 and, on the other hand, a second position, opposite to the first, in which they are completely detached from said recesses

On the other hand, it is noted that the second support surface 5 can either extend laterally even between the uprights in front of the two pairs of uprights 4 and 4 '(figures 1, 3 and 7), or be strictly circumscribed between the four uprights 4, 4 '(figures 12 and 20).

In accordance with a supplementary feature of the invention, the base 2 may comprise, to the right of each U-shaped body 10, a ram or finger 2 'surrounded by a support surface, which allows the stacking of a first container 1 on another container 1 in the folded state, the fingers or spurs 2 'of the first container 1 being inserted in the upper free parts of the corresponding U-section bodies 10, respectively, to said other container 1 (Figures 1, 3, 9, 17, 19 and 20).
