Abstract
Procedure for the growth of organic and biodegradable structures from agricultural waste and fungus mycelium, and its use as insulating components under construction, characterized by its design and manufacturing of thermal insulating structures consistent with a certain stiffness, 100% organic and biodegradable, using for this agricultural residue (straw, wood chips, leaves, seed husks ...) and seeds of different species of fungus (Pleurotus ostreatus, Lentinula edodes, Ganoderma lucidum ...). The fundamental novelty of the invention lies in the use of the binder qualities provided by the fungus mycelium and its ease of growth on the suitable agricultural substrate to generate rigid and coherent geometries, biodegradable and with insulating qualities. Likewise, it presents as a novelty the use of these structures for architectural and construction purposes and also, a series of designs and prototypes manufactured for specific uses such as insulating panels, wall modules or modular components to form structures for aggregation to delimit spaces or serve as support for vertical gardens.
