Abstract

Steam ironing device, especially a steam iron or a steam ironing station, comprising an ironing sole (4) having a soleplate (2) crossed by steam outlet openings (6), a side wall (13) and a cover (15) delimiting a vaporization chamber (10) that is in connection with the steam outlet openings (6) on the upper side (2a) of the soleplate (2) and in which steam and / or vaporization liquid (W) is optionally introduced through an introduction opening (14) arranged in the lid. # To simplify the construction of the ironing sole, at least part of the side wall ( 13) It is made of a piece with the lid (15) forming a lid assembly (12).

Statement motivated according to articles 29.6 and 29.7 of the Regulations for the execution of Law 11/1986, of March 20, on Patents on novelty and inventive activity; quotes and explanations in support of this statement The invention refers to a steam ironing device that incorporates an ironing sole formed by joining a piece as a sole plate and a piece in the form of a cover assembly, between which a vaporization chamber is delimited. The request consists of eleven claims, the first being independent and defining the main characteristics of the object of the request. Claims 2 to 6 add technical details regarding the connection between the sole plate and the cover. For its part, claims 7 to 11 define other features related to the shape of the assembly that serves as the sole cover. Claim 1 Of the documents cited in the State of the Art Report, it is considered ES1023192U (D01; see col. 2, line 30 col. 4, line 28; fig. 1) closest to the object of the request; This document reveals, following the wording of the first claim, a steam ironing device, specifically a steam iron, comprising an ironing sole (see fig. 1, references in brackets refer to D01) which has a plate of soleplate (1) crossed by steam outlet openings (15, 16), a side wall and a cover that delimit a vaporization chamber (3) that is in connection with the steam outlet openings (15, 16) by the upper side of the soleplate (1) and into which vaporization liquid is optionally introduced through an introduction opening (13) disposed in the lid; where at least part of the side wall is made of a piece with the cover forming a cover assembly (2), which has an edge that sits on the upper side of the sole plate (1). The object of the invention set forth in the first claim has been disclosed identically in document D01. By Therefore, this claim is included in the prior art and would not meet the requirements Novelty (Art. 6.1 LP) or inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP). Claim 3 D01 also discloses how the edge of the lid assembly partially supports steam outlet openings (15, specifically in the upper opening of a frustoconical body that communicates with the final steam outlet 16, D01), so that it does not close completely. That is why the object included in claim three has also been disclosed identically in the document D01 and would not meet the requirements of novelty (Art. 6.1 LP) or inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP). Claims 2, 4-11 Claims 2 and 4 to 11 do not comprise additional technical characteristics that provide the degree of inventive activity necessary against the prior art disclosed in D01. For example, the possibility of attaching the cover assembly to the sole by means of a threaded joint is an alternative known in the state of the art whose application would not require an inventive effort by the person skilled in the art; for reference only, for example, documents US3675351 (D02) or US4077143 (D07) where a threaded joint is disclosed by means of a screw fixed to the upper side of the sole plate, as well as documents US2294578 (D08) or CN202148448U (D09) where the screw is screwed to the inside of the sole cover. As for the materials used, manufacturing method and other characteristics defined in the rest of the dependent claims, they would be particular executions obvious to the person skilled in the art whose application does not produce a surprising technical effect. That is why claims 2 and 4 to 11 would not involve inventive activity (Art. 8.1 LP).  WRITTEN OPINION On the other hand, document US3675351 (D02), independently, would affect the requirement of novelty for claims 1 and 3, since it discloses a steam iron with all the characteristics of the first claim where also part of the edge of the lid partially supports the steam outlet openings. This document would also affect the inventive activity requirement of claims 2 and 4 to 8. Also found are documents ES296710U (D03), DE102005061489 (D04), ES2175147T (D05) and WO9613631 (D06) that disclose the characteristics defined in the first two claims and therefore would affect their patentability requirements. However, in these cases the steam outlet holes are not used to support the sole cover, so that the third claim, as well as the remaining claims that are dependent on it, would not be affected by said Documents taken independently. In conclusion, in view of the prior art, the patent application would not meet the patentability requirements contemplated in Art. 4.1 of the Patent Law.
