EL METODO DE LA INVENCION ESTA BASADO EN LA MEDICION DE LA VELOCIDAD DE ACUMULACION DE UN COMPUESTO EN LAS CELULAS DEL ESPECIMEN (VENTAJOSAMENTE MEDIANTE MEDICION DE FLUORESCENCIA); DICHO COMPUESTO NO ES UN BUEN SUSTRATO DE LA PROTEINA MDR PRESENTE EN LA MUESTRA, NO PERMEABLE A LA CELULA Y ESTA SIENDO FORMADO EN LAS CELULAS, MEDIANTE ENZIMAS GENERALMENTE PRESENTES EN LAS CELULAS, A PARTIR DE UN COMPUESTO QUE ES UN BUEN SUSTRATO DE DICHA PROTEINA MDR, PERMEABLE A LA CELULA Y SE AÑADE AL ESPECIMEN IN VITRO.
