Abstract

Procedure for obtaining a therapeutic and cosmetic ointment or cream from aloe leaf, and product so obtained. The lower leaves are collected from aloe plants, cleaned and the hardened ends removed, oil is incorporated together with virgin wax, followed by prolonged cooking on a slow open fire at a temperature between 90 and 110 degree C, depending on the mixture chosen, for a period of between two hours and two and a half hours, the mixture is left to stand, with separation of the components into layers, decantation of the upper layer and final filtration and cooling of the cream or ointment.
