Abstract

Device which comprises a strong piece in the general shape of a Z whose end arms have individual drilled holes in which are coupled the axles of individual wheels of identical diameter and which are coupled to each one of the lateral parts of the wheelchairs. Emerging perpendicularly on the central, inclined branch of the Z is a fixed shaft on which is mounted a toothed wheel which transmits movement and rotation to the wheels, this shaft being fixed and the axles of the wheels aligned horizontally. The axle of the front wheel forms the axis of rotation of the device when the front wheel abuts against an obstacle, at which point the rear wheel, together with the structure of the chair, turns forwards, converting the rear wheel into a front wheel.
