Abstract

A sphere or capsule of transparent plastic (or other materials, according to the claims) which is divided into two halves and which, in order to be closed, fundamentally uses the thread system (half-turn mod. 2-), or pressure closing (mod.1), or clip system (mod.3). The sphere, which has variable diameters depending on the fruit to be protected, will have perforations to enable the fruit to transpire (if it were made from non- breathable materials), and also a hole in the area of the join of both halves where the stem of the fruit will be located and it will serve for securing it to the tree. The capsule is placed over the fruit whilst the latter is still unripe in order to protect it from insect pests, birds, hail (hence its particular hardness), etc. It will also allow removal of the fruit when the latter is ripe, thanks to its transparent nature, without removing the fruit from the sphere, which will continue to protect it during transportation and storage.
