Abstract

The rollers (2) comprise an internal chamber (1) into which the steam is introduced. Pipes (6) located at one end of the chamber enable condensate outflow. The condensate outlet pipes extend as far as an annular housing (7) in which is incorporated a ring formed from different independent sectors. These ring sectors, located inside the housing, can be radially displaced between end positions. In one position they rest on the bottom of the housing closing the pipes and in the other position, furthest away from the bottom, they leave the pipes open. When the roller is stopped, the ring sectors are in a stable position, under the effect of their weight. When the roller rotates they occupy, as a result of centrifugal action, the end position furthest from the housing bottom.
