Abstract

An apparatus is provided for generating a UHF electromagnetic field which may be used advantageously in the treatment of rheumatic and degenerative diseases, this apparatus consisting of an oscillator 1 for generating an electrical signal, with a power source 2 and governed by an adjustable timer device 3, the level of said signal being raised by means of a power amplifier 4, and for generating a UHF electromagnetic field by means of at least one electric coil 6. The coil 6 has the form of a sleeve or is incorporated into a sleeve which may be arranged closely around the area of the body being treated.
