Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a doll which can produce a sound of laughter when it is put perpendicularly, change into a sobbing expression when it leans in a predetermined angle and change into a sad expression when it lies in a lateral position, which can also move its arms pivotally to a direction opposite one another. CONSTITUTION: Push levers 10, 13, eccentric cam wheel and cross-rods 10', 13' are arranged in the interior of a head and actuated by a battery 6 together with a talking mechanism 5, arms 2 and levers 3, 3'. In a perpendicular position of the doll, the talking mechanism 5 is actuated by the battery to produce a laughter. When the doll is inclined, the eccentric cam wheel 21 moves the push levers 10, 13, the cross-rods 10', 13' close the eyes and protrusions 15', 16' close the mouth through a triangular portion 17 and parallel portions 15, 16. A sobbing expression takes place when the doll is inclined to a 45 degrees position. In the lateral position, the action of the face is stopped by the movement of a balance weight, the arms 2 start to move, the side levers 3, 3' are moved by springs 4 and the head also moves. In this cycle, the sound can be selected from sobbing track.
