Abstract

In order to form, in one automated process, a footwear sole 4 consisting of an insole (inner sole) 5, a plate 6 centred at its heel and a heel seat lining piece 7 superposed and adhesively bonded to the rear part, an installation is set up with three stations 1 to 3, the first for gluing the sole 5 and placing the plate 6 in the centre of its heel, the second for drying the adhesive of the sole 5 and plate 6 to form a whole 5-6, and a third for placing and joining, on each sole/plate unit 5-6, a heel seat lining piece 7 in its rear part. The installation is supplemented with a final adhesive bonding and pressure station consisting of pressure rollers 35.
