Abstract
Synthesis of products of a zeolite nature from coal slag. This invention relates to a method for preparing products of a zeolite nature which can be synthesized from various materials which contain an adequate ratio between silica and alumina. Coal slag is the waste product of coal mining which satisfies this ratio. When subjected to alkaline treatments and different reaction conditions it gives rise to products of a zeolite nature. Among possible important applications mention may be made of cation exchange, gas absorption, molecular sieves, involvement in catalytic reactions, affecting microbiological processes (agriculture and stock raising), etc.
