A burner (1) for gas cookers, comprising a central flame crown (17; 17a), two concentric circumferential crowns (18, 19), a substantially horizontal Venturi effect chamber (27) and holes or slits (28) for supplying a mixture of air and gas from the Venturi chamber (27) to the central crown (17), located in proximity to the zone of cessation of the Venturi effect and/or downstream of the said zone, with respect to the flow of the gas-mixture. <IMAGE>
