Abstract

The separation procedure for contaminatory metals present in acid solutions involves liquid-liquid extraction with mixtures based on phosphonated dialkyl alkyl, trialkyl phosphates and acid phosphates. The process involves separation of at least one element from those concomitant, arsenic, antimony, bismuth, nickel, zinc and iron, present in solutions of sulfuric acid originating from electro-refinement of copper. This process comprises treatment by means of separation by extraction with dissolvent of acid aqueous solutions with organic solutions of aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbons containing extractive agents constituted by mixtures in which is found at least one dissolved organophosphonate compound insoluble in water of the type of the dialkyl alkyl phosphonates, trialkyl phosphates and acid phosphates.
