Abstract

Aparato para someter a un fluido a la irradiación por ultrasonidos de alta intensidad, comprendiendo el aparato un recipiente (12, 32) generalmente cilíndrico y una multiplicidad de transductores (14) ultrasónicos acoplados a una pared del recipiente en una disposición que se extiende tanto circunferencial como longitudinalmente, con el fin de irradiar ondas ultrasónicas a un fluido en el recipiente, siendo el recipiente (12, 32) lo suficientemente grande, para que cada transductor (14) irradie a un fluido con un espesor de al menos 0, 1 m, estando conectado cada transductor (14) a un generador de señales dispuesto de modo que el transductor irradie no más de 3 W/cm2, estando los transductores (14) suficientemente próximos entre sí, y siendo el número de transductores (14) lo suficientemente alto para que la disipación de potencia dentro del recipiente (12, 32) sea al menos de 25 W/litro pero no mayor de 150 W/litro.
