UN DISPOSITIVO Y PROCESO PARA EL ANALISIS DE LA REFLECTANCIA ACUSTICA DE LOS COMPONENTES DE UN OIDO IMPLICA DIRIGIR, DENTRO DEL CANAL AUDITIVO, UNAS ONDAS ACUSTICAS QUE CUBREN UNA GAMA DE FRECUENCIAS QUE INCLUYEN FRECUENCIAS RESONANTES DE LOS COMPONENTES DEL OIDO, COMO POR EJEMPLO LA MEMBRANA TIMPANICA. SE REALIZAN MEDICIONES SIN PRESURIZAR EL CANAL AUDITIVO, Y EL CONTACTO ENTRE EL DISPOSITIVO Y EL OIDO NO NECESITA SER HERMETICO AL AIRE. DE DICHA FORMA, EL PACIENTE NO SUFRE ESENCIALMENTE MOLESTIAS DURANTE EL USO DEL DISPOSITIVO. EL DISPOSITIVO DETECTA Y COMBINA LAS ONDAS INCIDENTES Y REFLEJADAS PARA PRODUCIR LO QUE SE CONOCE COMO UNA CURVA DE REFLECTANCIA ACUSTICA. LA FORMA DE UNA REGION DE LA CURVA DE REFLECTANCIA ACUSTICA SE MIDE ELECTRONICAMENTE CON OBJETO DE OBTENER UNA INDICACION DE LA CONDICION DEL OIDO QUE ES SUSTANCIALMENTE INDEPENDIENTE DE LA LINEA DE VISION ENTRE LA FUENTE DEL SONIDO Y LA MEMBRANA TIMPANICA. DICHA INDICACION SE BASA EN LA MEDIDA DE LAS CARACTERISTICAS DE RESONANCIA, O LIBERTAD DE MOVIMIENTOS, DE LA MEMBRANA TIMPANICA U OTRO COMPONENTE DEL OIDO QUE ESTA SIENDO ESTUDIADO.
