Abstract
System for adjusting the speed of aircraft landing wheels, characterised in that the wheels acquire a relevant rotation speed before contact is made with the landing strip, thus obtaining a better touch-down of the aircraft and a substantial and great reduction of the friction of the first contact, which normally provokes significant deterioration in the reversal band of the wheels with a risk of excessive local wear and tear the appropriate rate of wheel rotation is obtained before the first landing contact thanks to a very aerodynamic device, either electro-mechanical, or mixed, that accelerates the wheels, from its initial standby mode, to a speed close to that which the wheel would have if it were rotating exactly at the same linear speed of the aircraft, said device is implemented next to the rim of each wheel.
