Abstract
Un método para la extracción de una sustancia tánica a partir de un material leñoso que contiene una elevada proporción de tanino vegetal y para la producción de un producto utilizable de lignocelulosa, en el que el material leñoso se somete a una etapa de fragmentación y el material fragmentado se somete a las siguientes etapas sucesivas: - una primera fragmentación que consiste en una reducción del material leñoso en bruto a trozos que tienen un tamaño medio del orden de 30 x 30 x 0,5 mm con un área superficial específica del orden de al menos 400 mm² por cm³ de trozo, - una segunda fragmentación que consiste en una desfibración termo-mecánica de los trozos en presencia de vapor de agua o agua supercalentada a una temperatura en el intervalo de 120ºC-140ºC para reducir los trozos a fibras o grupos de fibras que tienen un área superficial
