EN EL PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA AGLOMERACION DE SUSTANCIAS DIFICILMENTE SOLUBLES Y SENSIBLES A LA HIDROLISIS SE HACE PASAR EL POLVO DE LA SUSTANCIA DIFICILMENTE SOLUBLE JUNTO CON AL MENOS UN AGLUTINANTE HIDROSOLUBLE EN CAIDA LIBRE POR UNA ATMOSFERA DE VAPOR DE AGUA A UNA TEMPERATURA DE ENTRE 85 (GRADOS) C Y 105 (GRADOS) C BASICAMENTE SIN INFLUENCIA DE FUERZAS COMPACTADORAS. EL TIEMPO DE PERMANENCIA EN LA ATMOSFERA DE VAPOR DE AGUA ES DE ENTRE 0,5 Y 10 SEGUNDOS APROXIMADAMENTE. A CONTINUACION, LOS AGLOMERADOS FORMADOS SE SECAN EN CAIDA LIBRE, DE TAL MANERA QUE EN LOS PUNTOS DE CONTACTO ENTRE LAS PARTICULAS PRIMARIAS PROCEDENTES DE LOS PUENTES DE LIQUIDO-AGLUTINANTE FORMADOS SE FORMAN UNOS PEQUEÑOS PUENTES DE SOLIDO. EN UN SECADOR DE LECHO FLUIDIZADO INTEGRADO A CONTINUACION TIENE LUGAR EL SECADO FINAL HASTA QUE EL CONTENIDO DE AGUA SEA INFERIOR A UN 0,5 % EN PESO.
