El equipo objeto de la presente invención, parte de una nueva técnica que consiste en la utilización de aire comprimido, que es el que ejerce presión sobre un cilindro lleno de líquido, colocado en posición vertical, cerrado por su parte inferior y abierto por la superior, en esta parte superior del cilindro se coloca el tejido o probeta a ensayar, se fija mediante un dispositivo que presiona los bordes del tejido mediante una corona metálica y junta elástica con el objeto de evitar que cuando la probeta de tejido es sometida a presión, el agua salga por los bordes que deben quedar perfectamente estancos.
