Abstract

The pork meat purins treatment technique consists of separation of the liquid from the solid fraction of the purins, for evaporation and concentration. The liquid produces an aqueous fraction and a concentrated solution made up of volatile fatty acids and soluble organic matter. The concentrated solution is then treated in an anaerobic reactor producing bio-gas which serves to operate a cogeneration unit. The solid fraction of the purins is composted as sludge.
