Abstract

The machine has an entrance zone (2) in which there is a pair of plates (6, 7) for supporting the wafers, one of which is used to place one wafer on top of the other, with the wafer cells facing each other. In the end zone (3) of the machine, spherical-shaped confectionery items are cut out of the double wafer structure and removed via a conveyor belt (5). A machine for making spherical-shaped confectionery products from wafers is used to shape a two wafer layers placed one above the other, each layer containing cells that have been filled with chocolate, dried fruit and hazelnuts. The machine comprises a bench (1) with an entrance zone in which there is a pair of plates for supporting the wafers, one of which is pivotable so that it can place one wafer on top of the other, with the wafer cells facing each other. In the end zone of the machine, spherical-shaped confectionery items are cut out of the double wafer structure and these are removed via a conveyor belt. Trimmings are urged towards one side of the belt, where they are collected for reuse.
