EL PROCESO CONSISTE EN HACER REACCIONAR DICHO ALUMINOSILICATO O SILICE CON UN ALUMINATO ALCALINO, Y SEGUIDAMENTE UNA EXTRACCION DEL MATERIAL TRATADO CON ALUMINATO CON UN AGENTE EXTRACTIVO PARA FORMAR EL ALUMINOSILICATO O SILICE DE POROSIDAD MODIFICADA. EL PROCESO ES APLICABLE A AQUELLAS ZEOLITAS QUE NO REACCIONEN EN CONDICIONES DE EXTRACCION ACIDA, P.EJ. FERRIERITA, Y ES APLICABLE A AQUELLAS ZEOLITAS QUE SEAN ESTRUCTURALMENTE INESTABLES EN CONDICIONES DE EXTRACCION ACIDA, COMO EL MINERAL BIKITAITO. SE DESCRIBEN UNAS COMPOSICIONES MESOPOROSAS, INCLUYENDO UNA FERRIERITA MESOPOROSA Y UNA ZEOLITA MESOPOROSA DCM-3.
