Abstract

Process for saving water in processes for coating using electrolytic baths. In a conventional process in which the use of a large quantity of water which is normally discharged to the environment with the carry-over of pollutant materials is involved, in accordance with the invention one or more additional watertight tanks which are independent of the baths in each stage of the process are provided filled with appropriate water for recovery operations in such a way that at previously determined times the contents of each of the tanks are poured into the one before and the first of them into its own bath to restore the level by virtue of the evaporation which takes place as a result of the temperature effect, it being necessary at these times only to replace the water from the end of each stage, thus considerably reducing water consumption and avoiding discharging polluting products into the environment.
