Abstract

4-(Imidazo(1,5-a)pyridon-8-yl 1,4-dihydro pyridone derivs. of formula (I) in which R1 and R2 are alkyl or aralkyl, are made from imidazo-pyridinyl aldehyde of formula (VII). They can be used as vasodilators and for treatment of hypertension, thrombosis, artero-sclerosis, angina and migraine.
