THE RUBBER BITS ARE UNITED BY THE BINDER AND CONSIST OF ESSENTIALLY GLUED RUBBER PIECES, WHICH HAVE A DIMENSION OF 2 MM AT LEAST. THEY ARE ALSO LINKED TO THE BINDING SECTIONS OF METALLIC WIRE OR FIBER. RUBBER BITS AND METAL REINFORCEMENT CAN BE PROPERLY OBTAINED BY DISMANTLING OLD METAL REINFORCED VEHICLE TIRES. THIS GIVES AN APPROPRIATE PROPORTION OF METAL TO RUBBER. THE MATERIAL CAN BE USED FOR BRIDGE JOINTS OR OTHER EXTENSIONS OR TO PATCH CRACKED AREAS, ESPECIALLY IN JOINTS AROUND THE CONCRETE, FOR AFTER-TREATMENT WITH A LAYER, THE BETUN ELASTIC RESISTANT LOAD HAVING A TENSILE STRESS FOR TENSION. TO THE LAYER FROM THE UNDERLYING CONCRETE, WHICH HAS A GREAT THERMAL EXPANSION COEFFICIENT. THE MATERIAL CAN ALSO BE USED AS A MEMBRANE LAYER, WHICH COVERS A LAYER OR BASE SURFACE. SUCH LAYER CAN BE FORMED BY EXTENSION OF THE BINDER, POSSIBLY ALSO WITH THE ADDITION OF REINFORCING GLASS FIBERS, DISTRIBUTION OF THE RUBBER AND METAL BITS OVER THE BINDER AND ROLLED TO CONSOLIDATE.
