EL APARATO INCLUYE UN TAMBOR (1) CILINDRICO CON CHAPAS DIVISORIAS LONGITUDINALES A LO LARGO DE SU SUPERFICIE INTERNA. UNAS LAMINAS DE REVESTIMIENTO SE HALLAN UNIDAS A LAS CHAPAS DIVISORIAS ADYACENTES, REVISTIENDO DE ESTE MODO EL TAMBOR POR COMPLETO. LAS LAMINAS SE FLEXIONAN HACIA DENTRO POR EFECTO DE LA GRAVEDAD CUANDO EL TAMBOR GIRA, LIBERANDO ASI CUALQUIER MATERIAL RESIDUAL QUE SE ENCUENTRE ALLI.
