LOS DESBASTES SE CARGAN SECUENCIALMENTE POR LA PARTE INFERIOR DEL HORNO MEDIANTE UN MECANISMO RECIPROCADOR CUYO EMPUJE HACIA ARRIBA ACOPLA EL DESBASTE CARGADO E IZA LOS DESBASTES APILADOS ENCIMA, TRAS LO CUAL QUEDA SUJETO (MEDIANTE UNAS MORDAZAS) HASTA QUE SE ACOPLA A EL EL SIGUIENTE DESBASTE EN EL CICLO SUBSIGUIENTE. EL DESBASTE SUPERIOR SE DESCARGA DURANTE CADA CICLO, POR LO QUE EL NUMERO DE DESBASTES DE LA PILA ES CONSTANTE, CALENTANDOSE TODAS SUS SUPERFICIES EXPUESTAS DURANTE SU PERIODO DE PERMANENCIA EN EL HORNO. ESTE INVENTO MAXIMIZA LA UTILIZACION DEL CALOR RESIDUAL DEL DESBASTE FUNDIDO CUANDO VA A TENER LUGAR EL "CORTE".
