Abstract
The invention relates to a fluid-cooled plasma burner with transferred arc in which the coolant, electric power and gas are taken via ignition and main electrode lances consisting of coaxial pipes to the ignition and main electrode. To improve the design of the burner, minimise heat losses from the burner jacket and improve the burner efficiency, it is proposed to provide a common coolant circuit (41, 35, 36, 43) for the ignition (16) and main electrode (27, 28) lances.
