Abstract

The purpose is to carry out maintenance on subscriber lines by means of a remote unit. It contains a starter circuit 1 that is connected to the subscriber equipment, allowing the unit to function even in the event of a short circuit in the subscriber equipment. It is fitted with a bridge rectifier 6 that is connected to the line, to a power supply circuit 7 through a circuit with an electronic coil 8, to a line current detector circuit 9, and to a frequency transmission circuit 10, all these being connected to a control circuit 5, in such a way that the power supply and the control signals are received from the remote unit through the line by means of the bridge rectifier, the commands being detected by which the control circuit activates the switching circuit 4 isolating the subscriber equipment and proceeding to control the frequency transmission circuit 10 by emitting the frequencies required by the remote unit and measuring the parameters.
