Abstract

The machine comprises two channelling drums arranged in the two ends of the general structure, said drums being actuated simultaneously by means of a central motor with its shaft equipped with two output ends which, via respective reducers and support arms, imparts movement to said drums which have digging picks. The machine is suitable for working in coal layers (strata) with gradients of between 40 degree and 90 degree and minimum layer capacities of between 600 and 650 mm. The machine includes equipment for cooling the motor and for removing dust and also a hydraulic system for actuating cylinders for producing a floating arrangement of the support arms of the channelling drums. The whole assembly is modular and easily reversible, being indicated for carrying out coal-digging work in mines.
