Abstract

This fastening device can be coupled to rear-view mirrors consisting of a mirror-carrier casing 1 and of a support 2 linked by a fold-down arm 3 in the form of a "U". The device comprises a receptacle 12 which is essentially prismatic in form, projects orthogonally with respect to the support 2 and contains an axis 13 of rotation, a clasping body 14 and a spring r which works in compression. The shaft 13 links the upper 15 and lower 16 transverse extensions of the arm 3 and is secured to the latter. In addition, the spring r subjects to compression the contacting surfaces of the shaft 13 and of the clasping body 14, increasing the friction between these. Applicable to the automotive industry.
