EL PROCEDIMIENTO COMPRENDE (A) LA INMOVILIZACION SOBRE UN SOPORTE SOLIDO DE ESTRUCTURAS MACROMOLECULARES RELACIONADAS CON EL PATOGENO, (B) LA SINTESIS ALEATORIA DE CDNA, PARA LO QUE SE SE EMPLEA UN CEBADOR INESPECIFICO EN LA REACCION DE SINTESIS DE LA PRIMERA CADENA DE TAJES DNAS COMPLEMENTARIOS, (C) LA AMPLIFICACION ENZIMATICA DE LOS CDNAS SINTETIZADOS EMPLEANDO CEBADORES ESPECIFICOS DE LA REGION DEL GENOMA A TIPIFICAR, (D) EL FRACCIONAMIENTO DE LOS PRODUCTOS RESULTANTES DE LA AMPLIFICACION Y (E) EL ANALISIS DE DICHO FRACCIONAMIENTO.ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO PROPORCIONA INFORMACION UTIL PARA EL ESTUDIO DE LA EPIDEMIOLOGIA Y EL DIAGNOSTICO DE PATOGENOS, ASI COMO EN PROGRAMAS DE BUSQUEDA DE GENES QUE CONFIERAN RESISTENCIA A DICHOS PATOGENOS Y EN PROYECTOS DE DISEÑO DE EPITOPOS PARA LA OBTENCION DE NUEVAS VACUNAS.
