THE HYDROXYCHLORIDE IS OBTAINED FROM A ZINC CHLORIDE SOLUTION 1 TO 2 M FROM WHICH OXYCHLORIDE IS PRECIPED WITH A SOLUBLE ALCALI, PREFERREDLY SODIUM HYDROXIDE (PREFERENTLY MORE THAN 0, 5) A MOL; THE WASHING OF THE PRECIPITATE IS CARRIED OUT WITH ETHYL ALCOHOL AND IT IS DRIED UNDER VACUUM UNDER 70 C. THE HYDROXYCHLORIDE, SO OBTAINED, PRESENTS A BIOAVAILABILITY OF ZINC ANALOGUE TO THAT OF OTHER COMMERCIAL FORMS OF ZINC SUCH AS CARBONATE OR SUL. GASTRIC TOLERANCE HIGHER THAN ZINC SULPHATE; IT IS APPLICABLE AS A ZINC CORRECTOR IN LETTUCE CROPS; ASI, IN A DOSE OF 300 P.P.M.
