Abstract

It applies specially to the adjustment of the rake of the back of an armchair, effectively maintaining locking at any point of the angular path. It consists of a threaded shaft 1 ending in a support 2 for connection to one of the paths to be adjusted, carrying, threaded on, a discoidal head 4 with two diametral holes 8, 9 with very close geometrical axes, one 8 which is smooth for the passage of the shaft and the other 9 which is threaded. The head 4 is able to rock in order to be aligned with the threaded shaft 1, one or other hole 8, 9, the sliding position and the locking position, respectively, being obtained. Coaxial with the shaft 1 there is a spring whose ends rest on sliding bushes 12 which press on the head 4, forcing it to assume the locking position as it has a plane milling in the thrust zone of the spring 11, by means of the bush 12. The head 4 is devoid of rotational movement with respect to the threaded shaft 1 and is linked to the other part to be adjusted.
